Wooden Wall Shelves

Lets face it. When it comes to wall shelves, there are so many innumerable ideas that none of them seem appealing. And when you have a few good sheets of plywood, planks of wood and a carpenter handy, it almost hurts to realize that ideas can no longer spring out of your head. On such days, a list of some unique, uncommon and easily replicable(almost) ideas such as these will come handy. Enjoy!

Saras Wall Shelf

We love the modern lines on this mid century wall shelf that has just a little bit of color here and there. Don't miss the teal colored hook at the base which can be used to hang bags or coats. An interesting present-day solution for your phone, sunglasses, wallet and keys. Add this touch of country-side modernity by the front door and it will surely get everyone's attention, including yours!

Conjoined Shelves

These shelves give an artistic twist to the normal practice of combining various sizes of squares and rectangles to create shelves. By tapering the sides of these rectangles and squares, it creates an illusion of the wall being rounded rather than plain. We love how it brings in character to an otherwise simple flat wall. And it's very easy to replicate too. Isn't it great when wall shelves themselves turn out to be art pieces even when empty?

Mistral TV Cabinet from Carpanelli

This a very simple, easy and affordable way of using those plywood sheets to make similar shelving in your entertainment area. It would help to ensure the shelves are all stable and well fixed to the wall. And the low height TV stand looks gorgeous on those metal legs!

Natural Wood Shelf

This set of inspiring natural wood shelves fuse perfectly well to add so much nature to your wall. It's wealthy tone against an unsophisticated design theme creates a classy atmosphere that demands attention. A glance at these shelves can inspire anyone to use it as a reference while implementing their own design. It's rhythmic arrangement, simple cuts and great texture make it the focal point of a wall.

Reclaimed Wood Shelves

A sustainable approach to designing, reclaimed wood offers many ways to showcase an organic contemporary style. This Oregon Black Walnut has been beautifully transformed into decorative shelving, adding warmth and lots of character to this space. We love it!

Flatmates by Maxime Poulet

An elaborate wooden spider flamboyantly hanging at the corner of the room, this monstrous showpiece furniture is designed by founder of OUCH Design Studio, Maxime Poulet. The bevy of curved wood shelves project out from a single junction in different directions and varied lengths, imparting a functional side to the design. This multi-directional wood shelf is a great singular feature for minimalist spaces.

Corner Shelf by Martina Carpelan

This simple wall shelf can be positioned in any space where two walls intersect. Designed by Martina Carpelan, the corner shelf is made of wood but in a light shade, making it perfect for both traditional as well as contemporary settings. In her own words, "the idea is to utilize and highlight both the space within the shelf and the corner surrounding the shelf"

Great Dining Solution!

Branch Shelf

This branch shelf is super easy to make and acts as an unusual alternative to hanging a picture above your headboard. Purely ornamental, this branch shelf can be painted into the right color to fit in your surroundings.

A similar concept can be used to create these sprawling branch bookshelves on your walls and corners. These multi-functional wall shelves combine the beauty of tree branches with the concept of creating different areas for categorization, making it easy to organize books as you like to! Great for most living areas, grow this tree on your wall!
