TRAP by Darono

Just a little over a year since it was established in early 2013; and Darono is already making waves in the industry of fashionable home objects. Inspired by nature, traditions and cultures from around the world, Darono designs are a refreshing blend of innovation and traditional techniques.

The major element in Darono products is their own fiber, a ‘technical textile,’ which is composed of polyester and viscose. The technical textile is antibacterial and eco-friendly, keeping their products in line with their concerns for environmental issues.

The Trap range of Darono designs is high on style, structure and creativity. It includes a suspension lamp, a pouf and a hanging planter which can be used indoors and outdoors. A functional configuration of lines and shapes that have been interlaced, Trap is clearly inspired by fishing nets and can even be carried like one. All its products are available in 19 different colors to blend in with various kinds of environments.

Trap Suspension Lamp

The trap suspension lamp has a globe shaped polyethylene lamp inside an interlaced mesh that dominates the design. Despite the dominance, the mesh allows for efficient dispersion of light and adds a lot of enthusiasm to its surroundings. Easy usage and low maintenance make this lamp all the more desirable!

Puff

This beanbag/pouf carries the same basic design, but the beautiful braid at one end adds to its appeal. As seen in the picture, the braid can help you move the beanbag simply by slinging it over your shoulder. It has a detachable cover on comfortable seating that is covered with white synthetic fur. How can something so stunning be so easy to maintain?

Hanging Planter

A more ‘thinkable’ design, the hanging planter uses the same technical textile net on a brushed stainless steel ring. The braid adds an old world look and is less contemporary than the other products from the trap range. However, like the other products, this is also available in vibrant colors, and is made of easy maintenance, antibacterial fiber that make the hanging trap planter just as appealing.
